The New Farm Institute at Green Gate Farms is a newly-established nonprofit in Austin Texas with the mission to educate, assist and inspire a new generation of sustainable farmers, with a focus on the urban fringe – an area defined as within 30 miles of medium to large cities. In this difficult time of extreme drought small agricultural non-profits such as The New Farm Institute are hit very hard. To help out the Institute the Austin Chapter of Architecture for Humanity will construct an earthbag shed to provide a secure location to store their tools.
